What I Make

Choose your style

Not sure which fits? Pick the closest one, and we'll work out the details together.

Prices shown are starting prices. Final pricing depends on size and detail.

How It Works

From idea to your wall

  1. 1

    Get in touch

Fill out the request form below with the type of piece and size you have in mind.

  2. 2

    Schedule & booking

I'll reach out about your timeline. Booking typically runs 2 to 6 months, so early booking is recommended. If our timelines align, a 25% deposit secures your spot.

  3. 3

    Send your photos

Share your favorite photo, or several. High-quality images help me capture more detail.

  4. 4

    Creation & completion

I'll finish your piece within the agreed timeframe, then send an itemized invoice covering the artwork, optional framing, sales tax, and shipping if needed.

  5. 5

    Delivery or pickup

Meet me locally in the Fargo or Grand Forks area, or have it shipped to you. Frames add weight, which can raise shipping costs.

Start a Request

Tell me about your piece

The more detail the better, but don't worry if you're still figuring it out. I'll follow up by email!

Reference photos (optional)

Add your favorite photo, or up to three. Clear, high-quality images work best.

After you send this, I'll email you to talk through the details.

Questions

Good to know

How far ahead should I book?

Typical booking times range from 2 to 6 months, depending on demand and holidays. Availability is limited, so booking early is best!

Can you combine two or more images?

Yes! For example, two pets in one portrait, or your favorite photo of a house in a different season. Mention it in the request and we'll discuss how to achieve what you're looking for. I will send you a mockup to approve prior to creating the piece.

Can you add special details that aren't in the reference photo?

Yes, most requests can be added to your reference image, such as a name tag or collar on a pet, or a special sign on a house.

What materials do you use?

Each portrait is hand-drawn with colored pencil on paper. Larger pieces are usually painted with acrylic paint on canvas.

What are the frame options?

I source all frames locally from art and craft stores. Tell me your color preference and whether you'd like a matted frame, and I'll choose the option that best complements your piece.

How do I pay for the deposit and final payment?

I accept Venmo, or a secure payment link with a 3% credit card fee. Mailed checks and cash are also accepted.

Can I give custom art as a gift?

Absolutely, gift portraits are very popular. You can commission one directly, or purchase a gift certificate so the recipient can choose their own photo and style.
